The competition was announced in September 2025. Architects and design teams from various cities across Ukraine took part. The submitted entries demonstrated a wide range of approaches to the themes of memory, memorial architecture, and the interaction between the object and both the military and social contexts.
Based on the evaluation of the competition proposals, the jury selected the winners. The assessment was carried out according to the criteria defined in the competition terms and program, including relevance to the brief and the site, compositional quality, functionality, feasibility of implementation, as well as consideration of technical and environmental constraints.
The winning projects demonstrated strong spatial thinking, a sensitive approach to the theme of military remembrance, a restrained yet emotionally expressive architectural language, and the ability to work with a delicate memorial context.
As a result of the jury’s deliberation, the following three winners were selected:
1st Prize – Code QWERTY, by the team of Yurii Kaigorodtsev and Yaroslav Masiuk



2nd Prize – Code 383175, by the team of Pavlo Kuriat, Anna Haievska, and Dominyka Yurchuk



3rd Prize – Code 849761, by the team of Alina Sviatenko, Anna Hohol, Daria Bielova, and Mariia Tarasenko



The jury included leading specialists in the field of architecture, artists, and visionaries:
- Anna Iskierdo – architect, visionary, public figure, co-founder of AIMM architectural bureau
- Yevhen Sovinskyi – First Deputy Director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, Chief Architect of the city of Vinnytsia
- Dmytro Stolyarov – concept developer, artist, architect at YODEZEEN Architecture & Design Studio
- Maksym Shulha – concept developer, Chief Project Architect at Drozdov & Partners architectural bureau
- Mian Maziar – architect, co-founder of OM Vision
- Oleksandr Maksimov – Chief Project Architect at AVG Group, member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine
All competition materials and jury comments will be submitted to Military Unit No. 3028 of the National Guard of Ukraine, the official organizer and client of the competition.
