It hasn’t even been half a year, and I finally sat down to write a few words about AUTODESK HUB 2025.
The event took place last Thursday among like-minded people, colleagues, and old friends. I had the honor of moderating it for the second time, and I was assisted by Dmytro Makarov himself — he even came from Poland. Thanks, Dima! The atmosphere — top. It was exactly one of those cases when you work and enjoy it at the same time.
The Hub was opened by Ihor Chornyi. Calmly and professionally, he spoke about Autodesk's vision and new trends: AI and so on. In the first panel, representatives of developers shared their practices of using technology in their companies.
Yaroslav Shelest from “Kovalska” showed a powerful implementation of cloud technologies — Autodesk Construction Cloud. Cool that they reached all the way to Tandem. I wonder if anyone else in Ukraine has gotten that far?
Then Teresa Dytko from Avalon made her debut. A very meaningful presentation, especially from the client’s perspective. When she mentioned the family that caused the project to weigh several gigabytes, every BIM manager in the room felt it — a true collective painful flashback familiar to each of us.
After her, Oleksandr Kanivets characteristically brought everyone back to “the tech stuff” and explained the complex specifics in simple words. His legendary Revit logs — pure and true optimization. In the hands of a master — time for coffee. Seems like he drinks it by the gallon 😅☕
Together with Pavlo Kuriat, we shared our own cases related to reconstruction and restoration. We talked about our workflow and approaches to assessing project complexity — the Cynefin framework is our everything. And of course, how could we go without Autodesk tools in our daily work and their implementation in the process?
After a short break, Oleksandr Paramonov gave a presentation. As he once wrote himself, he “shook his grey hair.” He respectfully, confidently, and with great experience shared his rich background in working with large-scale projects.
Next, Vadym Parnytskyi talked about the development of the Construction Cost Manager app and about the joint work with Vitalii Oliinyk on ArcelorMittal projects. Over the year since the previous Hub, the product has grown from an MVP to a serious solution. It’s nice to see such results from Ukrainian developers. Vadym, respect — I support you strongly, “from the soul, soulfully into the soul”!
Dmytro Mukhin couldn’t join live, so his talk was recorded. Not the fastest speaker (if you know what I mean 😉) — the organizers tried speeding it up to 1.5x, but the audience didn’t go for it. We’re always rushing somewhere... The messages were deep — about the development of the community, its value, and future. We hope the Ukrainian-speaking Autodesk Community will continue to grow and won’t be shut down like some of the less active ones in other languages.
Then Roman Makarov talked about his own cloud solution — as far as I understood, focused on Changes Management. As they say: very interesting, but nothing was clear (at least to me). Seems like I’ll have to click through it myself — must be something serious.
To close — a presentation from the guys at Tebin. A very strong case study with point clouds (well, how could it be without them). I saw many wide-open eyes in the room after the phrase: “We had to deliver everything in six weeks, but managed in four.” What? How??? I guess I had the same 👀 too.
Oh, and MUK arranged a fun quiz. Lively, energetic. Dima should be hosting corporate events — he’s doing the wrong job 🙂. I almost won a T-shirt, but they didn’t give it to me. Because, well, I was already wearing the same one. Anyway, congrats to the winners — there were valuable prizes too!
In general, AUTODESK HUB 2025 is always fresh, dynamic, and to the point. Today it feels like a real breath of fresh air. It’s important for all of us to stay sharp, support each other, and share experiences. Thanks to everyone involved! And a special thanks to Anastasiia Feshchenko for the awesome photos!
